Saxophonist and composer Ardeshir Pourkeramati,A long-time student of saxophone guru Stan Karp, Ardeshir holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern California,There he was mentored by Bob Mintzer, Clarence Penn, Vince Mendoza, Ralph Moore, and Eric Reed. He also earned a master’s degree from the University of Oregon, where he studied with Steve Owen and Dave Liebman, and a bachelor’s degree from Capilano University, studying under Brad Turner, Steve Kaldestad, and Bill Coon. He brings a vibrant and expressive voice to the Canadian jazz scene. Rooted in the jazz traditionand fluent in a range of styles—from hard bop to modern fusion—he has performed with leading Canadian artists such as Brad Turner, Cory Weeds, Steve Kaldestad, Jodi Proznick, and John Lee. Ardeshir is an active bandleader in Vancouver, where he leads his acoustic jazz quintet and the fusion project ArdyTronics, and has performed with ensembles including the Vancouver Jazz Orchestra, Hard Rubber Orchestra, and Jaelem Bhate Jazz Orchestra. His Rate is $37/half hour.

Caitlin is an experienced vocalist, accompanist, composer, and graduate of Vancouver Community College's jazz voice program with a minor in Classical Voice. She has been performing and teaching in Vancouver for over seven years. As a performer, Caitlin has fronted a 13-piece funk band, various jazz combos, as well as solo work. As an instructor, she has taught voice and piano as well as musical theatre performances. Caitlin is adaptable and passionate, specializing in jazz, pop and rock. She welcomes students of all levels, styles and abilities. Her rate is $33/half hour.

Eimear MacCarrick is an Irish-Canadian composer and music teacher based in Vancouver, BC. She began playing the piano at the age of 8 and grew up with a passion for music. In 2014, Eimear completed a diploma in piano with the Victorian College of Music and Drama London and began teaching shortly after. In 2022, Eimear travelled to Greece to record some of original work with an orchestra and in 2023 composed original music for TV Drama Series, "The Good Ship Murder". She teaches students of all ages a variety of different styles from classical to pop. Her rate is $33/half hour.

After several years of teaching piano, Emily (MTA, MT-BC) completed a Bachelors degree in Music Therapy at the University of Windsor, while studying piano performance under Dr. Gregory E Butler. For the past five years, Emily has been working as a music therapist as well as providing typical and adaptive piano lessons at Long and McQuade. Her music therapy training helps her accommodate different learning styles and abilities in the lesson room. Her philosophy of teaching is to lead individuals to achieve their full potential, through music. Her rate is $33/half hour.

Recently transplanted from Alberta, Jeff Black brings over 15 years of performance experience, and 5+ years of teaching experience in both piano and guitar. With a background in RCM piano and a diploma in Jazz from Edmonton's Grant MacEwan University, Jeff is ready and willing to take students of all ages or experience levels and help them pursue their musical goals. His rate is $33/half hour.

Katherine Bonness received her Bachelor of Music in viola performance from the University of Manitoba and has studied violin, piano, theory, and composition privately. Katherine has performed in a wide variety of ensembles across Canada as a violinist and violist, from string quartets to orchestras. With over a decade of teaching experience, Katherine customizes her approach to each student, using various method books and supplementary material, while emphasizing solid foundational techniques and catering to the individual's musical interests to keep things fun! She can help students of all ages and levels prepare for anything from just learning for enjoyment, to mastering a specific piece, performing in recitals, auditions, preparing for RCM exams, and beyond to any other musical goals the student might have. Her rate is $33/half hour.

She has a Bachelors of Applied Music from VCC, and teaches Classical, Jazz, Bossa Nova, Salsa and more. She has studied Latin music under the Tito Puente Orchestra's former pianist Sonny Bravo in New York, and Afro Cuban music with Grammy Award winner Chucho Valdes in Havana Cuba. Her rate is $33/half hour.
